Bike, Hike and Fish Tennessee's Newest State Park...

"Rocky Fork State Park is in one of the most beautiful parts, not just of our state, but of our country.  It is Upper East Tennessee's gateway to the Appalachian Trail, and I consider the area a national treasure.  This park reaches up to 4,800 feet in elevation, making it one of the few areas in Tennessee that you can enjoy the trout streams, wildlife, hiking and backdrop of the Smoky Mountains at that height.  Because of the park's natural beauty, it should soon be one of our state's most popular parks."  Senator Lamar Alexander

Beautiful, scenic Rocky Fork State Park is a 2,076 acre park in rural Unicoi County in East Tennessee.  It is situated in the Blue Ridge region of the Appalachian Mountains, close to the Tennessee - North Carolina state line.  The park is adjacent to the Cherokee National Forest and close to the Appalachian Trail.
