Jamis Mountain Bikes Demo Day...

Biketopia - Jamis Mountain Bikes Demo Day 2013 8Thank you to everyone who made Jamis Demo Day a raging success.  Thanks to the Jamis Demo Team for bringing the bikes and braving the cold and snow.  To Cliff, Haden, Adam, and Brandon who kept everyone rolling in the right direction.  Also to the dozens who test rode and returned with rave reviews.  The most popular comments concerning the new full-suspension models were about it's excellent handling and balance.  If you missed demo day, that's OK.  We have 'em in the store.

Jamis Dakar XTC named in Best Mountain Bikes of Interbike 2012...

Jamis didn't invent the 27.5-inch wheel, but they were one of the first brands to adopt it.  The XCT is the company's 130mm-travel trail bike.  For 2013, the model gets several changes to increase stiffness.  New, larger-diameter top tube and down tubes create a stout front end.  In the back, XCT's chainstays are 25-percent larger and Jamis added a 142X12mm rear thru-axle to further increase stiffness.  Despite the beefier tubes, the new frame weighs the same as the current model. Engineers were able to remove some material from less critical areas, like the chainstay yoke.  The bike will come in two models: the $4,800 XCT Pro and the $2,800 XCT Comp.
